Firearms Range Rules

Basic Safety Rules
Treat all guns as if they were loaded.
Keep your finger off the trigger until the gun is pointed down range and ready to fire.
Be sure of your target and what lies beyond.
Always wear hearing and eye protection.

RANGE SAFETY OFFICER:

Shooters must follow the direction of the Range Safety Officers at all times. RSOs reserve the right to end a customer’s range session if the customer is handling or shooting a firearm in an unsafe manner.

FIRING LINE REGULATIONS:

MUZZLE SHOULD BE POINTED DOWNRANGE AT ALL TIMES.

Only one loaded firearm allowed on the shooting bench at a time.

No one is permitted forward of the firing line. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Firearms must be uncased and re-cased only AT YOUR ASSIGNED SHOOTING BENCH.

Pistol targets must meet minimum size of 10.5” x 12”. Rifle targets must meet minimum size of  24” x 24” Targets may not have realistic faces.

Make sure your eye and ear protection are on before entering the shooting bay.

Occupy only the firing lane assigned to you.

Rate of fire must be determined by your control and accuracy. Inaccurate, out of control shooting will not be tolerated.

Targets must be positioned where your shot will not impact the ceiling or metal baffles.

All firearms must be equipped with sights or optics. Long guns must be shouldered while firing. No shooting from the hip. No holster drawing.

When temporarily leaving the firing line, lay down the firearm with the muzzle pointed downrange, slide locked back or action open.

When you are finished and ready to leave the range, unload the firearm and open the action unless the firearm is cased or safely holstered.

“Cease Fire!” means… STOP shooting, place the firearm on the bench and step back from your lane.

If a firearm malfunctions and you are not comfortable clearing it, leave the firearm on the bench and ask a Range Safety Officer for assistance. Do not remove the firearm from the bench.

FIREARMS PERMITTED:

Center fire rifles permitted on rifle range only.

Fully automatic firearms allowed. All FA firearms must be declared at the range counter.

Black powder muzzle-loading firearms permitted on rifle range only.

Shotguns are permitted in Bays 3, 4 and 5 only.

AMMUNITION:

Standard commercial and reloaded ammunition is permitted.

Rifle ammunition faster than 3400 fps is prohibited. Check with range personnel for specific calibers.

Shotguns are restricted to Buckshot (#4 buckshot or larger) and slugs only.

NO metal-penetrating ammunition is permitted.

NO steel jacketed, steel shot or steel core bullets are permitted.

NO tracer, incendiary, gas or explosive ammunition is permitted.

FIRING LINE OCCUPANTS:

No one is permitted forward of the firing line. NO EXCEPTIONS.

NO FOOD, DRINKS, CHEWING TOBACCO OR SMOKING ON THE RANGE.

Appropriate dress required at all times.

(We are a family-friendly facility.)

All persons using the facilities will be of good character.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Anyone perceived to be under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or any other debilitating drug will not be allowed to shoot and will be required to leave the premises.

Handguns: Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a paying adult over 21 years of age, and must be directly supervised and coached by the adult at all times.

Only one shooter with coach permitted per lane at a time.

Persons not shooting or coaching are not permitted in shooting bays. Viewing area is provided for non-shooters.

Any equipment or personal possessions left unattended on the firing line is at the customer’s risk.

All range brass is to be pushed forward of the firing line. Do not go downrange to retrieve brass.

All persons on the range MUST wear eye and ear protection. Available for purchase at the range counter

AIR GUN RANGE:

Air guns must not exceed 900fps.

High velocity air rifles may be shot on rifle range.

Lead pellets only. No BBs or Airsoft permitted.

Eye protection is required.

VANDALISM:

Customers will be held financially responsible for any intentional damage caused to the range or range equipment. Membership will be revoked and the incident will be reported to the authorities for appropriate action.

Help us keep this range safe. Please abide by the rules and report anyone you see not obeying the rules to the range officer. After all, it is your safety we are concerned about.

Waiver of Liability and Claims
I, my agents, assigns, executors or administrators for the consideration of being allowed to enter, rent and or use the facilities, and services of H&H Shooting Sports do hereby absolutely and unequivocally agree to release and hold harmless H&H Shooting Sports , its agents, employees, instructors, assigns, owners and successors from any & all claims, demand or liability, arising out of any injury loss or disability connected with the use of, attendance or activities at the facility. I further understand that shooting can be dangerous and will at all times exercise safe gun handling practices.
I have read, understand and fully agree to all of the above.

Archery Range Rules & Regulations

In order to ensure your safety and the safety of others on and near the range, please respect the following rules at all times while on the H&H Archery Range.

No sky drawing, or drawing the bow-string back while holding the bow upwards.

Absolutely no broad heads are allowed. Practice field tips ONLY

NEVER aim or shoot at or towards another shooter.

ALWAYS clear range for other possible shooters BEFORE retrieving your arrows.

Do not jump or climb on the targets to retrieve arrows. If you cannot reach an arrow, please ask an H&H Team member for assistance.

Avoid shooting walls, floors, ceiling, lights, etc.

All shooters under the age of 15 should be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.

Treat all rental bows with respect. Do not intentionally damage or misuse a rental bow in any way.

The range is for archery purposes only. Any inappropriate activity that risks the safety of anyone present will not be tolerated.
