The Attleboro Knife Story –

A true story of sacrifice and honor commemorating those SF soldiers who fought and died during the Attleboro operation. Attleboro Knives began to take formation in the middle of 2012 when Ken Hunt and Casey Foster started talking about a knife design. This design would need to meet the demanding requirements of both the serious outdoorsmen as well as those serving our country on the battle field. The knife would need to fit well and be balanced in one’s hand. It also needed to provide excellent performance in the field to become the inaugural knife from Attleboro Knives.

The Attleboro as seen at the 2016 Blade Show

“We wish to recognize one heroic soldier who during this operation epitomizes the spirit of our knife, Master Sergeant William B. Hunt. His heroic actions during the battle led to several saved lives but in the process causing his wounding then his loss.” – Attleboro Knives

Becoming a fan of the Attleboro is easy to do. Just pick one up and your sold!

950 Rift is a Warren Osborne design made in Oregon City, Oregon by Benchmade. This amazing knife is made out of quality steel and has great functionality from a utility knife or every day carry knife. The blade is made out of 154 cm stainless steel material that almost four inches long. The functionality of the blades reverse tanto makes the knife perfect for self-defense. The blade comes in with a straight edge and the edge retention is amazing. The billy of the blade is well-rounded enough for cutting.

The locking mechanism on the Rift has the best feeling lock. knowing that its locked into place when the blade is out makes it feel a lot safer when in use. With the ambidextrous controls of the knife the unlocking mechanism makes it simple to use left-handed or right-handed. The downside to the lock is that it does allow more debris to enter the locking mechanism if dropped. With the G10 grips texture makes the knife comfortable in the palm of your hands feeling like the knife is glued in your hands. With the black and charcoal the 950 rift makes it a well attractive knife. The shoulders on the knife are a little rough, but bearable to grip.

For the quality of the 950 Rift the price of the knife makes it worth buying. You will not be disappointed when knowing that you have purchased an outstanding knife from a reputable company like Benchmade. The knife is extremely simple, sleek, and durable making it a reliable folding knife. Although it’s in benchmades tactical knife classification it’s not tactical at all, except the look. The 950 Rift is still a great functioning knife with a great blade and locking mechanism.

Two of Knife Rights requested Knife Law Reform bills passed a major hurdle Thursday in Oklahoma. House Bill 1460 (Knife Rights’ Knife Law Preemption bill) passed the Oklahoma House Public Safety Committee by a vote of 8-1 and House Bill 1911 (Knife Rights’ Switchblade Ban Repeal bill) passed by a vote of 9-1. Both bills will now head to the House floor for a vote before they head to the Senate.

If you live, work or travel in Oklahoma, Knife Rights urges you to contact your Representative and politely ask your member to vote YES on HB1460 and HB1911. Click here to find your Representative:

Knife Rights would like to thank Don Spencer, Vice-President of the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association, for working closely with us in support of these important knife law reforms

Knife Law Preemption prevents a patchwork of local ordinances more restrictive than state law which only serve to confuse or entrap law-abiding citizens traveling within or through the state. Preemption ensures citizens can expect consistent enforcement of state knife laws everywhere in a state.

Knife Law Preemption is Knife Rights’ signature legislative initiative and is the essential foundation for improving knife laws and protecting knife owners. Knife Rights passed the nation’s first Knife Law Preemption bill in Arizona in 2010 and has since passed preemption bills in Georgia, Kansas, New Hampshire, Tennessee and Utah.

Automatic (switchblade) knives are legal in 38 states (some with restrictions) and 26 states have no restrictions whatsoever on these knives. Seven of those 26 states have been added by Knife Rights since 2010. Knife Rights passed the nation’s first repeal of a switchblade knife ban in 2010 in New Hampshire and has since passed repeal of switchblade bans (and repealed other knife restrictions) in Alaska, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. In Washington state knifemakers can now legally manufacture automatic knives.

Knife Rights ( is rewriting knife law in America™, aggressively fighting for a Sharper Future™ for all knife owners. Knife Rights is dedicated to providing knife owners an effective voice to influence public policy. In the past four years, Knife Rights has passed pro-knife legislation in 11 states and prevented anti-knife legislation in four states. Knife Rights is also the lead plaintiff in a federal civil rights lawsuit against New York City.
