Top 7 Red Dots That Are Amazing

Why should I use a red dot sight?

To be successful, every shooter must be able to aim accurately and quickly under a variety of conditions. On a shooting range, there is plenty of time to take aim, but in the real world, everything is in fast motion. Add rough terrain, foul weather and high levels of stress and even the most experienced marksman will be put to the test.

The single red dot has been proven to be the fastest type of reticle to place on target and provides the greatest increase in hit probability on close quarter moving targets. Red dot sights allow you to remain focused on the target. Shooting with both eyes open means that you remain in touch with what is going on around you, and can deal with new situations as they arise.

Red dot sights are superior to iron sights and scopes in several ways. Using these other types of aiming devices require that your focus leaves the target.

Lets look at 7 Red Dot Sights that are AMAZING

  1. If you can afford the Aimpoint Micro T-1 this optic is a great expense. With an unlimited eye relief you can have the ability to shoot with both eyes open without hurting your vision.  You can either choose between a 4 MOA or 2 MOA dot. The battery life is at 50,000 hours using a CR2032.  micro t-1
  2. The Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot is similar to the Aimpoint Micro T-1, but a lot less expensive. It’s a 2 MOA dot that is parallax free. It has a 50,000 hour battery life using a CR2032 lithium battery as the T-1 does. Great optic for the price!MD-ADS-2
  3. EoTech’s Model XPS3 uses a CR123 battery having 600 hours of battery life. Just like the other 2 optics listed its parallax free and has unlimited eye relief. This optic has 2 different reticles to choose from. The XPS3-0 is used for fast target acquisition. The XPS3-2 is used for quick aiming points. Although this optic is expensive it’s great for the money.XPS22images-2
  4. The TRS-25 is the cheapest red dot yet best quality for the money. The TRS-25 has a 3 MOA dot with 11 brightness settings. It uses a CR2032 battery and has an unlimited eye relief. This optic is the bang for the buck.trs-25
  5. The Vortex Sparc didn’t really have much to gain when it was first released, with having very few applications that a shooter would want or need it failed in being a red dot. Having multiple customer complaints Vortex came out with the Sparc 2. This optic came out to be a better optic than the first Sparc. It has a 2 MOA dot, lens caps, parallax free, and uses a CR2032 battery. This optic is well worth the money.
  6. Aimpoint has amazing optics, but an even better one for the price. The Aimpoint Pro is the cheapest in the Aimpoint line family. The PRO has a 2 MOA dot with a 30,000 hour battery life. It uses a 2L76 or DL1/3N battery which can be hard to find at your local store unless you go to Amazon or have a Batteries Plus store.  It is parallax free and has unlimited eye relief. For the money and the quality this optic will be a continued growing sale for Aimpoint.kpc_2385
  7. Trijicon makes amazing optics including the RX01 reflex sight. It has a 6.5 MOA dot and just like the other red dots it is also parallax free and has unlimited eye relief. Unlike the other red dots this optic doesn’t use batteries, but uses fiber optics and tritium. It also has an amber-colored dot instead of having a red colored dot, so it’s easier on the eyes. Although not being powered by batteries the optic has a large dot and doesn’t come with a mount. When you buy the mount and the optic this optic can be pretty expensive.RX01
