The NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation course of :

Firearm Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety Training

This course is the NRA’s response to the American public’s need for a firearm orientation program for new purchasers.

NRA FIRST Steps Pistol course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type.

This course is approximately three (3) hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot your pistol of choice.

Students will learn:

  • NRA’s rules for safe gun handling;
  • the particular pistol model parts and operation;
  • ammunition; shooting fundamentals;
  • cleaning the pistol;
  • and continued opportunities for skill development.

Students will receive the:

  • Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook,
  • NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure,
  • Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet,
  • and FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.
Class Date – Saturday February 19th from 10am to 2:30pm
Class fee – $100.00
Please bring:
Pistol
At least 50 rounds of ammunition (no reloads)
Eye protection
Ear protection
Pistol rental available for $10.00
Ammunition, eye and ear protection available for purchase
There will be a 30-minute lunch break – Visit our 4U Cafe 
Electronic preregistration and prepayment is required for everyone attending this course.  Sorry, no walk-in registrations.   Refunds are given only if course is cancelled by our instructors.  Failure to attend scheduled training will result in forfeiture of your paid class registration fees.
