Women’s Basic Handgun Safety and Shooting Fundamentals

This class is taught by our female instructor and is for women shooters only. This is designed for the beginner shooter.  The training will consist of a blend of lecture, demonstration, weapon manipulation with your unloaded handgun, and will end with live-fire exercises on our range. This is an excellent course for beginners and first-time shooters, but it is also beneficial for anyone who wants to brush up on their safety and technique.

  • These classes are for adults 18 years and older. Anyone under 21 must be accompanied by an adult over 21 who must also purchase and attend the class. If you are looking for classes for children under the age of 18 years of age please email us at privatelessons@hhokc.com
  • Please note: 48-hours’ notice is required in order to either reschedule your class or cancel the class with a refund. Less than 48 hours’ notice will not be rescheduled or refunded.

 

  • You are not able to take our classes if you are an unlawful user of, or addicted to marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug or any other controlled substance. Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medical or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.
  • We do not offer gun safety classes to fulfill court-mandated safety training.

The Basic Handgun Safety Class for student from H&H shooting

Women’s Basic Handgun Safety Class

This is the Women’s Basic Handgun Safety Class and will be taught by our female instructor.

This class is designed for the beginner shooter.  The training will consist of a blend of lecture, demonstration, weapon manipulation with your unloaded handgun, and will end with live-fire exercises on our range. This is an excellent course for beginners and first-time shooters, but it is also beneficial for anyone who wants to brush up on their safety and shooting technique.

The instruction will cover the following areas:

•Firearms safety rules

•Parts of a semi-automatic pistol or revolver

•Function of a semi-automatic pistol or revolver

•Fundamentals of shooting a pistol or revolver

 

Class requirements:

•Semi-automatic pistol (with at least one empty magazine) OR a revolver (.22, .38 special, or .357 magnum)

•At least 50 rounds of factory/new ammunition (no reloads)

•Eye and hearing protection.

•Comfortable clothing. Please wear closed-toed shoes (no flip flops/sandals) and avoid wearing a loose necked shirt (ejected brass is hot.)

•We encourage you to wear a hat with a brim to deflect hot brass.

Cost: $100 per student. H&H has all required equipment available for rent or sale. Please come early if you need to purchase or rent equipment, handgun, or ammo.
